The customers had an old pond that was leaking, not flowing properly & the pebbles keeping falling in from the sides.
It was hard to keep clean as it had no way for the leaves to be collected, so debris was sinking, decaying & forming sludge in the bottom of the pond.
Customer brief: Make it easier to clean, nicer to look at and better for the fish.
So we set up a temporary holding tank for the fish. Completely dismantled the pond. Dug the pond deeper with a more interesting shape. Installed new underlay & liner & overlay. Used sandstone boulders to retain sides & stop pebbles falling in. Installed a skimmer to skim all the leaves and debris that fall into the pond. Added a BioFalls with a waterfall that doesn’t just look & sound amazing, it filters the water and adds oxygen to keep the system healthy.
The customers absolutely love it, and they are very happy that it’s easy to maintain.
The water is now crystal clear.
